The discussion centered on how wartime necessity has accelerated innovation across critical domains, particularly artificial intelligence, drone warfare, digital finance, and scalable software, with a strong emphasis on real-world application.

Since the onset of full-scale Russian aggression in 2022, Ukraine has adapted swiftly to conditions on the battlefield, turning what was expected to be a quick invasion into a costly quagmire for the Russian armed forces. These operational, institutional, and technological adaptations adaptation were the focus of a panel convened at LANDEURO on July 16 with military leaders, defense industry representatives and Ukrainian officials which examined the evolution of Ukraine’s defense capabilities since the onset of full-scale Russian aggression.

7ATC Drops Live Grenades from Drone

7th Army Training Command; Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine; and 173rd Airborne Brigade tested the ability to drop a live M67 grenade using a Skydio X10 and a U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command-developed Audible dropper for the first time in the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, June 25, 2025. Soldiers from 7th Army Training Command, the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine and 173rd Airborne Brigade all worked together to make this the first live-grenade drop from an unmanned aircraft system in the U.S. Army for conventional forces.

Dozens of World War II Veterans attend the D-Day 75 commemorative airborne operation in La Fiere, France June 9, 2019. Over 100 civilian reenactors and 900 military paratroopers from seven partner countries honored the service members who jumped 75 years ago in WWII. More than 1,300 U.S. Service Members, partnered with 950 troops from across Europe and Canada, have converged in northwestern France to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the WWII Allied Invasion of Normandy, commonly known as D-Day.
