The Family Readiness Support Assistant (FRSA) is the vital link between the commander, the families assigned to the unit and the community resources available to Soldiers and their families.

What is a CARE Team?

CARE is an acronym that stands for Casualty Assistance Response. The CARE Team provides short-term care and support to the families of critically wounded and/or deceased Soldiers.

Who serves on a CARE Team?

CARE Team volunteers are usually from the same Battalion or Company as the affected Soldier and family but may be drawn from other units in the Brigade.

What does a CARE Team do?

CARE Team assistance is provided at the request of the family. Assistance ends when trusted friends and other family members take over (usually within 72-hours after notification). Care Team Notebook
