EXPERT FIELD MEDICAL BADGE

MORE ABOUT THE EFMB

The 212th Combat Support Hospital, 30th Medical Brigade, is hosting U.S. Army Europe's 2017 Expert Field Medical Badge competition, which takes place throughout March at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany. There are 215 candidates from 11 countries striving for the badge during the five-day challenge.

The test is a rigorous evaluation of mental and physical skills, and earning the badge requires a high degree of ability and focus. Passing rates range from 5-25 percent which makes the EFMB a qualification that stands out in a Soldier's records. The EFMB also provides multinational and U.S. service members the opportunity to train together and to gain a greater understanding of their abilities while building more competent and confident Soldiers.
