New USAREUR Chief of Staff

HEIDELBERG, Germany -- Brig. Gen. (P). Robert B. Brown assumed duties January 11 as Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Europe.

As chief of staff, Brown’s duties include directing and coordinating the efforts of the USAREUR staff in planning, coordination and execution of the command’s operations and policies, passing pertinent information and insight from the staff to the commander, and passing guidance and direction from the commander to the staff.

Brown’s previous assignment was Deputy Commanding General (Support), 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.
