HEIDELBERG, Germany -- The Army Emergency Relief annual fundraising campaign kicked off March 1 and runs through May 15.

This year’s theme, “Helping Maintain Army Strong,” emphasizes the idea of Soldiers helping Soldiers. AER provides emergency financial assistance in the form of no-interest loans or grants to Soldiers, as well as tuition assistance for Family members.

Funding for the program comes from voluntary donations by Soldiers and civilians, plus investments made by AER.
