HEIDELBERG, Germany -- The Commanding General of U.S. Army Europe is beginning a second round of military community visits in February.

Since assuming command last March, Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling has visited every major Army garrison in Europe, as well as 26 of the 51 countries in the USAREUR area of operations.

The current schedule includes these community forums:

Jan. 31 Vicenza, Italy—Hertling will attend via video teleconference

Feb. 2 Schweinfurt—with a VTC link to the nearby Ansbach and Bamberg communities

Feb. 8 Grafenwoehr

Feb. 9 Baumholder

Feb. 16 Heidelberg/Mannheim—focused on the upcoming USAREUR headquarters move to Wiesbaden

In order to ensure a frank and open conversation, media are not invited to these community forums.
