Suicide prevention efforts take to the stage

HEIDELBERG, Germany – U.S. Army Europe is hosting suicide prevention interactive stage performances throughout its military communities Sept. 19-28.

The goal of the suicide prevention interactive stage performances is to foster warrior, caregiver, and family dialogue around potential psychological health effects of prolonged or repeated combat deployments and to increase awareness of resources for those with needs.

Performances will be followed by a discussion involving the community, chaplain, medical personnel, and the cast of the performance.

Performances are schedules as follows:

- Sept. 19 in Heidelberg at 2 p.m. (Patrick Henry Village Theater)

- Sept. 20 in Wiesbaden at 9:30 a.m. (Taunus Theater)

- Sept. 20 in Baumholder at 2 p.m. (Post Theater)

- Sept. 21 in Kaiserslautern at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. (Daenner Chapel on Daenner Kaserne)

- Sept. 22 in Schweinfurt at 9:30 a.m. (Ledward Theater)

- Sept. 22 in Bamberg at 2 p.m. (Post Theater)

- Sept. 23 in Ansbach at 9:30 a.m. (Katterbach Theater on Bismarck Kaserne) and 2 p.m. (Illesheim Theater on Storck Barracks)

- Sept. 26 in Grafenwoehr at 9:30 a.m. (Tower Theater)

- Sept. 26 in Vilseck at 2 p.m. (Jurkewicz Theater)

- Sept. 28 in Vicenza at 9:30 a.m. (Post Theater)
