MAINZ-KASTEL, Germany -- The Army & Air Force Exchange Service has a scheduled system outage, which will impact fuel purchases and the ESSO Fuel Ration Card System for Germany 5 a.m. to noon Nov. 6.

During these hours, customers in Germany will not be able to use their ESSO prepay option, obtain/replace fuel ration cards and/or make any transactions on their accounts. However, customers may continue to obtain fuel at Exchange fuel facilities and pay using their credit cards (i.e., VISA and Master Card), debit cards, cash, etc., at Exchange prices.

Additionally, ESSO cards will not function during these hours at the ESSO facilities. Hence, customers are discouraged from using these facilities, because they will be charged at local market prices.

Customers should plan accordingly, fuel up, and perform any ESSO card activities prior to the outage, or wait until such time outage ends. The outage is necessary to perform critical system maintenance and adjustments due to end of daylight savings time. The Exchange apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this system outage.
