HEIDELBERG, Germany -- First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden are leading a national effort to rally the American people to action in support of military families, service members and veterans.

The initiative is called "Joining Forces" and is focused on energizing all sectors of American society to give families, service members and veterans the support they have earned after nearly 10 years of war.

Service members, families and veterans can follow the initiative through the Joining Forces Web site at: www.whitehouse.gov/joiningforces or on Facebook and Twitter at www.whitehouse.gov/joiningforces/stay-connected.
