HEIDELBERG, Germany -- News about current events affecting the Army in Europe is now only a touch away with the latest update to the U.S. Army Europe smartphone app.

The “Newsroom” update links users from the app to the USAREUR news webpage, providing fingertip access to the latest command news.

The free app, compatible with Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, features information about USAREUR, and includes links to the command’s social media presence. It has been downloaded more than 1,000 times since its September release, and is rated four out of five stars.

The app also highlights information for newly-assigned Soldiers, civilians and Family members to Europe, including helpful links to the command’s webpage and Twitter advice hotline for newcomers.

Visit www.eur.army.mil/mobile for easy access to download the app.
