191024-A-NH858-2039.JPG Photo By: Spc. Stephen Perez

WIESBADEN, Germany - Army Chief of Staff Gen. James C. McConville and German Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Jörg Vollmer signed a bilateral Strategic Vision Statement at the 27th Conference of European Armies on 24 October. This SVS outlines the level of ambition for high-end brigade and division interoperability between the German Army (Deutsches Heer) and the U.S. Army, with the ultimate aim of operating seamlessly together across the full spectrum of operations. The document will provide strategic direction during future Army-to-Army staff talks and help guide U.S. Army Europe's security cooperation with Germany.
